The New Beginning


Carcasses had been lain strewn
Like a child’s forgotten toy.
The long winter was over -
A new beginning unfolding.

Carcasses had lain waste
throughout the Dead Planet.
Decay had set to upset
Natures cycles.

Carcasses had lay Dead -
Not a single memory intact.
Grass covered by winter - 
Dead until the dawning spring.

Carcasses no longer lay strewn
across the barren wasteland.
A gentle stream joyously pondered
Its journey to the great sea.

Life lay strewn
All over the new Planet.
Tiny, delicate creatures
Gradually evolving again.
